Pursuant to Article 31(1) of the Riyadh Design Law Treaty, the Government of Saudi Arabia hereby declares that, notwithstanding Article 5(2)(b) of the Riyadh Design Law Treaty, its applicable law at the date it becomes a party to this Treaty does not allow the applicant or other interested person who has neither a domicile nor a real and effective industrial or commercial establishment in its territory to act for himself/herself before its Office for the filing of an application, for the purposes of the filing date.
